Ren and Stimpy

Today I worked, then watched XFactor. Olly FTW - but even I'm getting bored with these shows now. None of this years finalists have anything special about them. Yeah they can sing alright but they're all just copycats of other acts. Still, it's all a bit of fun aye.
I was meant to be seeing Shy FX tonight but I'm too tired to go now so I was having a reminisce about old shows I used to watch. And thinking about it, Ren and Stimpy was absolutely bonkers. It's mad how they used to advertise this as a kid's show! I'm glad that I watched it though and it's a shame that apart from Spongebob there's nothing like it on TV anymore.
This particular clip really stuck in my head and I'm sure like many kids at the time I remember thinking..'is that really possible?'...

  1. This is a show that I never ever saw. Maybe it'll be repeated. As for SpongeBob...genius!

  2. Oh man...'Ren And Stimpy' takes me back to the bad old days of the early '90s. Definitely a milestone for bizarro cartoons. What was that character's name..."Powdered Toast Man"? Genius. Who could forget "The Log Song"?

There was another one on around the same time, called "Duckman". Jason Alexander (from 'Seinfeld') provided the voice for the main character. Dweezil Zappa voiced one of Duckman's kids. I don't know if there are clips on YouTube - check it out if there are. It were a larf.
