"One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." --George W. Bush, Jan. 3, 2000

As much as I love having my digital camera I don't think it's half as special or magical as having real physical photographs. So I got some pictures of my friends printed and I've stuck them up in my room. I think it looks pretty cool and although times will change and the memories become distant, those experiences and friendships were and are real and the photographs will help me to remember that (how corny aye.. :P). Anyway, thought I'd post a picture of is up here...will be adding many more no doubt.

Little Rhymes

Thought it might be fun to share some free writing I've been doing. A lot of writers do it as a warm up, preparing their brains and waking their imaginations up. I enjoy doing it just for the sake of it, it's quite interesting to see what comes up. I'm also using it as a tool to generate ideas for film and video.
Here are 3 different sessions I've done, seems like there's a bit of a reoccurring theme, its quite funny how you can create a little story and change the meaning by adding your own grammar, see what you think (could almost pass as poetry :P ) :

just down the way went through the black tunnel and into the grainy green I saw her looking how dare you molly wiped it away dust it down etch a sketch and then kaboom huge dusty pockets covered with plastic electrics

crafty ways they have not knowing very much stretching it out across many welded wizards try and relax a little she looked wretched and quite round the bout and smiling very loud

tensely wheeling a spoon about whacking down troubled little sister she always always knows exactly what it is to be a fish floating down stream between logs frogs and unfortunately I have very little to do with the whole business

and .... here's a song I LOVE

Ren and Stimpy

Today I worked, then watched XFactor. Olly FTW - but even I'm getting bored with these shows now. None of this years finalists have anything special about them. Yeah they can sing alright but they're all just copycats of other acts. Still, it's all a bit of fun aye.
I was meant to be seeing Shy FX tonight but I'm too tired to go now so I was having a reminisce about old shows I used to watch. And thinking about it, Ren and Stimpy was absolutely bonkers. It's mad how they used to advertise this as a kid's show! I'm glad that I watched it though and it's a shame that apart from Spongebob there's nothing like it on TV anymore.
This particular clip really stuck in my head and I'm sure like many kids at the time I remember thinking..'is that really possible?'...

brain fart...

is an odd phrase that I only came across a couple of years ago but it is how my head feels today.
Today i
I've been working at Leed's version of the Christmas market which is the same version that you will find in many cities across the UK. It sells the same stuff every year, mostly overpriced tosh. Anyway, basically I'm really tired today but I have to go out in a minute to watch my friend's gig. Which sounds like I'm complaining about, I'm not it's just that I don't know if I'll stay awake long enough to watch the band. I'm deliberating whether or not to have a sleep for 15 mins but there's that high risk of not being able to get back up after and just crawling under the duvet. So for now here's a video which features one of my favourite songs of all time.
It's in my top 3 songs ever created, don't ask me what the others are though.
Enjoy.
P.S I've told most of my friends this story many times so apologies to them but whenever I used to hear this song come on the TV as a kid I'd run into the room and lift my arms out to my sides and spin round really fast then fall backwards onto the sofa. it was the best feeling and when I hear it now I really get a craving to do it still...and have done on a couple of occasions!

get it together

Well howdy do, I've decided to start a new blog as I have a theory that it will keep me focused on my new start.
Having just moved away to a new city and leaving all my friends behind I feel that I need to make the most of this and get myself into gear. So..I thought it might be fun to post my adventure along with what else amuses me on here.
